State and Federal Accountability
As with all public schools in Texas, La Academia de Estrellas is judged by its students performance on the Texas
Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test each spring. We are striving to reach our goal of becoming an
Exemplary rated school through a number of internal initiatives.
During the 2008-09 school year, our students made major gains on TAKS relative to the previous year. Our reading,
math and writing passing rates were above the state's Recognized achievement level.
