Karen Davis, B.S. - Board Secretary, Acting Board President
Karen Davis is a Special Education teacher in the Duncanville ISD.  She is currently working with
students in a self-contained Special Education setting.  Karen brings a wide range of knowledge to the
board as a previous day care owner/operator.  She has also worked as a project manager in a renowned
architectural firm.  

Cathy Ostmeyer, Ed. D. - Board Member
Cathy Ostmeyer has many years of experience working in education in Texas and has recently been a
mentor in the Texas Principal Excellence Program (TxPEP).

Gracie Oyervides - Board Member
Gracie Oyervides is a parent who has chosen La Academia de Estrellas Charter School for her child's
education and brings a welcome parental perspective to the board.  










The next meeting of the La Academia de Estrellas board of directors will be on September 13, 2010 at
5:30 pm at the ECC site on Hampton.
