Administrative Team
Ivelisse Centeno, Assistant Principal (Pre-Kindergarten)
Mid-Management Certification (Texas)
Ivy is in her fourth year as an LAE assistant principal. She has been with
the school since its inception in 2006, teaching 3rd grade math during the
first two years and acting as the sole assistant principal for the next two.
With the opening of the ECC in 2010, she was tasked with ensuring the
success of that site.
Kemlyn Stephens, Assistant Principal (K-6)
Kemy is starting her second year in the assistant principal role. She
previously was our 5th grade math teacher and before that taught for 7
years in Dallas ISD elementary schools. She also mentors our math
teachers in addition to the wide range of AP duties.
Kelly Fagan, Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator (1st to 6th)
Kelly is also starting her second year at LAE after coming from Dallas ISD
where she spent the previous 20 years in a variety of instructional and
administrative roles, most recently as an assistant principal at Spruce High
School. She will continue strengthening our instructional program.
Rebecca Hutchens, Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten Instruction Coordinator
Rebecca is in her second year at LAE and expands her portfolio to
encompass kindergarten in 2011-12. Prior to working at LAE, she was the
Head Start liaison in Dallas ISD. She has worked in education for over 20
years, mainly in the early childhood area.
Jessica Henson, School Counselor/Social Worker
Jessica is in her fifth year with LAE as the school counselor/social worker.
She previously was a case worker for Child Protective Services and has a
masters degree in Social Work from UTA.
Hilda Duarte, Parent/Volunteer Coordinator
Hilda has been with LAE since its inception in 2006, working as the office
manager for the first three years and then in a dual office manager/parent
liasion role for the next two. For 2011-12, she moves into the newly created
Parent/Volunteer Coordinator position. Prior to working at LAE, Hilda
worked for many years in Dallas ISD as a parent liasion.
Richard Tuck, Business Manager
Richard has an MBA from SMU and an engineering background. He has
been the business manager for LAE since its incorporation back in 2003, but
only started working officially for the school in January 2009. As business
manager, Richard is the chief financial officer, accountant, HR
administrator and website manager.
